Skopje, January 9 — Macedonian passport has been ranked 40th in the world in 2025, according to the latest report by the consultancy firm Henley & Partners.
Holders of the Macedonian passport can travel visa-free to 129 countries. Among neighboring countries, Greece ranks highest at 6th place, followed by Bulgaria in 15th, Serbia in 34th, Albania in 43rd, and Kosovo in 63rd place.
The world's most powerful passport is Germany's, allowing visa-free access to 177 countries. On the other end of the spectrum, Afghanistan's passport is ranked the lowest, offering visa-free travel to only 25 countries.
According to Henley & Partners, the Passport Index is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and spans 19 years of historical records. It includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations.
