Skopje, January 22 — Geneva and Paris are the latest flight routes being introduced from Skopje International Airport, operated by the airline EasyJet. Currently, there is already a direct route from Skopje to Paris, operated by Wizz Air, landing at Beauvais Airport.
The flight to Paris (at Orly Airport), is set to start on April 2, while the route to Geneva will launch on November 3 this year.
According to the Ministry of Transport, these new destinations have been introduced in response to requests from the diaspora. The Ministry also noted that these additions are part of the government's financial support program under a public call for introducing new flight routes.
In October last year, the Ministry announced that six new direct flights would be introduced this year from the airports in Skopje and Ohrid, connecting to destinations such as Dubai, Barcelona, Lyon, Stuttgart, Basel, and Istanbul.
