Skopje, March 25 — Wolt has officially launched in Skopje today, offering free delivery for the next 30 days or until the maximum limit for promotions is reached, whichever is earlier. The Finnish food delivery company announced its expansion into Macedonia last October.
As part of its launch, Wolt is also providing a 40% discount on the first three home delivery orders.
Orders below 300 MKD are subject to an additional fee.
Currently, most restaurants on Wolt in Skopje specialize in pizza, burgers, American cuisine, salads, and pasta.
In a statement from October, Wolt’s PR team in Macedonia said the company began in 2014 as a modest startup founded by six co-founders. They added that over the years, Wolt has evolved into a major platform, generating €19 billion in economic activity and making a significant impact on local economies. They also mentioned that the company has partnered with over 150,000 merchants and processed 700 million orders worldwide.
